I am a seal brown Mustang and you can call me Jiggs. People say I have a wild heart and a story unlike any other. I was adopted from the Bureau of Land Management’s wild horse and burro program. My owner did not have the time needed to work with me to help me adapt to my new life. Someone suggested Stable-Spirit might be a good place for me with hopes that I would find my place as a therapy horse. When I first arrived, I wasn’t trained and was leery of strangers, always keeping a careful eye on the world around me. But with patience, time, and gentle guidance, I have learned to trust and open up, one small step at a time. My journey from the open range to Stable-Spirit is a testament to resilience and the power of second chances, and I’m here to show that healing can happen in unexpected ways—for horses and humans alike.
